I was unloading 35mm film from the Holga earlier and decided: one of these days, I’m getting a Superheadz 35mm Adapter Kit.  In the long run, I’m thinking, this is the way to NOT waste the amount of film I’ve wasted using the DIY method.

A film counter! A film rewinder! How awesome is this?!

To note, this is my 35-mm adapter kit:

From left to right —-

• Piece of foil – To cover up the backside of the Holga with!
• Popsicle sticks – Cut to the size of the film slot, this is where I tape up the 35mm canister.
• Rubber bands – Rolled on the top and bottom of the film spool (from the last 120 roll), this is used to keep the film centered.

Slide film GET!  A champions-among-officemates gave me a roll of slide film and I’m way too excited to pop it in the Beybehtar.  I still have a couple more shots left on the film loaded, so I can’t use it just yet.

Same officemate was asking me (about 2-3 weeks ago, I forget) what she was going to do with her Olympus Stylus Epic.  (click!)

While checking some toy camera updates, I found something new to add to my WANTTOBUY list:  The Digital Harinezumi.  (And I didn’t intend this post to turn out into some kind of Superheadz-fanboy-post, but this is just too awesum!)

I know I ought to be planning on getting a more … traditional digital camera, but this is just tops!  From the looks, to what it can do?  I just appreciate the lo-fi-turning-digital approach that Superheadz took.  (And prolly only they could pull it off!)

To simplify: it churns out digital images that are processed with a “flawed” chip and plastic lens to achieve that lo-fi style, plus, it also doubles as a video camera that makes video that mimicks 8mm.

With the price of the Blackbird, Fly here, I wouldn’t be surprised if this turns out to be worth a little fortune (if-and) when it hits here.
