My Holga 120N. It has been entirely too long. Got the film from the Hot Air Balloon Fiesta.

The shots that I was expecting? Didn’t turn out too well. The ones I wasn’t expecting (the ones from the 40-minute blackout) — one of them turned into one of my favorites.

I want more!

I am ridiculous because I didn’t want to buy lenses for my lx3 before getting to try them on.  Fortunately, Mikko’s dad ALSO has an lx3, plus accessories!  (He even has the Ricoh LC-1 lens cap!)  Anyway, here’s what the lx3 would look like with a telephoto lens:

Will I get my own?  Will it boost my boso-capabilities?  Eventually.

Playing around with the AF-Macro setting — I must have something set wrong because the pictures appeared darker on a computer screen — I cheated a little by fixing white balance/tone/exposure on Lightroom. :p

So.  I bought an LX3 yesterday.  Here are some of the first few shots I took.  :p  (I ran a resize on Lightroom.  Also, mine came with firmware 2.0 out-of-the-box!)

Now I’m seriously studying how I can get the most out of this camera — experimenting with film modes, (noise reduction done up -2) aperture settings and shutter speeds.  Will post more stuff when I take ‘em!

Ever wanted that “lomo” effect, but you have no clue which camera to get?  Not ready for an analog commitment?  Impatient about digital transfers of your film?  Fret not — here comes Illusion Lens!

I first heard about Illusion Lens from my friend Azrael and his album that tried out the Fish Eye lens.  And, well, since I was planning on buying one of those doorknob-peepholes to achieve the fish eye effect with my Beybehtar, this actually simplifies the process (I’ve yet to try it with Beybehtar though) — and also allows me to preview the images with my trusty camphone. 

I lost my Fish Eye Illusion Lens last Monday, (booo!) but I’m enjoying my 3-image Illusion Lens quite a lot.  It makes me think of the Robot 3 camera.

I got both of these at the local National Bookstore here in Antipolo (but it’s probably available in MOST NBS branches :p ) — and to tell you, I’m looking forward to getting the Spark lens next.  (Not that I’m going to stop playing with Hrulga and Beybehtar — I still have that slide film to try out, whee!)
