Last February 12, BBC Three showed the first episode of their new talk show, Lily Allen and Friends. Hosted by Lily Allen, the show centers it’s focus on the social networking phenomenon. (The phenomenon that helped launch her career way back in ’05.) The audience are Lily Allen’s “friends” (well, on social networks,) and they are given the chance to shape the show by letting them participate on interviews, submit funny videos to air and selecting the guest band for the next episode.
The first episode was quite … raw. (But I liked it anyway. Did I like the show, or the fact that Lily Allen was in it? Hmmm…) Nods to “the phenomenon” come in the form of a video question by internet celeb Chris Crocker, (the crying fan in the viral video that defended Britney Spears’ performance in the MTV Music Awards) plus, there’s Tay Zonday doing a cover of “Smile.” (He sang CHOCOLATE RAIN! That’s his REAL voice!)

So, if you’re a Lily fan, this is a must-watch! Plus, this is a pretty good indicator of where the social network phenomenon might take you. (If other examples haven’t proven it to you already.)
