How would you describe something you like? Do you like what you see? The message it shares? Or how it makes you feel?
If they use “well-crafted” to describe movies, (and I’m told that ‘they’ do) Slumdog Millionaire definitely fits the bill. In the way that the “almost-there-but-not-quite” (which is a variation of “so-near-yet-so-far”) longing drove Sputnik Sweetheart, this is one of those timeless romances that you know — you just KNOW will deliver the goods by the end.
(And this is hardly a review because I don’t know what else to say about it — see it!)
