I got an Omega Male Military Stikfas set today! (More pics when I find my Alpha Male Motorcycle set.)
What is Stikfas? It’s basically an action figure template. 3.25″ figures that you build yourself that comes with accessories appropriate to the playset you get. (say you get a ninja set, you get swords and shurikens for accessories; get a mobster set, and you get a trench coat, tommy gun and guitar case accessory.) Designed with playability and customization in mind, some people have gone on to do repaints to recreate their favorite characters in Stikfas form.
I think I might get back into Stikfas instead — over the last years, they’ve added color (they used to come in dark gray only before), more playsets / character types and have gone down in price! (The opposite direction for the 6″ figures…)
It’s pretty neat having something to play around with on my desktop, while waiting for things to load / upload / download on the computer.
Pro-tips!
* If you don’t have an X-Acto knife, (like me!) you could use a nailclipper to cut out the parts from the tray.
* After doing so, it’ll leave nasty cuts on the spot where the part was attached to the tray … sandpaper 40 is your friend.
