the sleepy UFO 4
Here’s this week’s playlist!
Again, suggestions to new things to listen to are most welcome. Discovery through others, yeh!
Matt & Kim – Daylight
From Frannie — a “thank you” gift for not panicking too much inside a stuck elevator. (and this isn’t my first elevator incident, innit?) Also, this helps when you’re trying to think of sunshine-y thoughts, given what just happened the last week.
Friendly Fires - Kiss of Life
Because some days, I just want to dance silly to native drums. In the desert. Not to be confused with the Sade song of the same name.
Alphabeat – Fantastic 6
I was rediscovering Alphabeat the other day — they probably belong to a genre called “Crack Pop” — pop so addicting, you’d be inhuman to not flash a silly grin with any one of their songs. eins zwei drei – weltpolizei 24/7
fun. – Be Calm
From Sarah — the other day, Sarah asked me, “do you know fun?” — obviously, I didn’t know it was a band at first, and said “yes.” Why do we like this? Because — well, listen to it.
fun. – The Gambler
Jumping from the last song, I clicked on the related video — I thought it’d be a cover of my favorite Kenny Roger song — I mean, everyone has one, right?
Over-exposition-via-lyrics, oh yeh!
La Roux – Bulletproof
From Frannie (again!) — is she a walking, talking Last.FM?! Electropopsynthfemalevocals. Also, Elly Jackson’s hair is not bound by gravity.
Passion Pit – Let Your Love Grow Tall
Got introduced to a girl who is 5’6″ tall. Not as tall as Kate, but still.
)
Stars – On Peak Hill
Because its been raining — and when its raining, you listen to Stars. Or Lykke Li. Or Jeff Buckley.
